Scholarships and Financial Aid

HPU offers the following scholarships and financial discounts:
The student with the highest academic average of the semester in her/his major receives a 25% discount on all university fees for 1 semester.

Children of full-time faculty members receive a 25% discount on all university fees for the entire duration of their studies for the first major. This discount is valid for the minimum required study duration and is only valid as long as the faculty member is employed by the university.

5 out of every 100 applicants yearly receive full scholarships from HPU (100% discount) for the entire duration of their studies. These applicants must fulfill admission requirements and are hand-picked by the Ministry of Higher Education. This scholarship is valid for the minimum required study duration.

The student with the highest national high school average (Syrian Baccalaureate) receives a full scholarship (100% discount) for the entire duration of her/his studies as long as her/his yearly average does not drop below “very good”. This scholarship is valid for the minimum required study duration.

The student with the highest high school average (Syrian Baccalaureate) in her/his district receives a 50% discount for the entire duration of her/his studies as long as her/his yearly average does not drop below “very good”. This scholarship is valid for the minimum required study duration.

The student with the highest high school average (Syrian Baccalaureate) in the talkalakh area (where the university is located) receives a 50% discount for the entire duration of her/his studies. This scholarship is valid for the minimum required study duration.

HPU dedicates 3 scholarships yearly with 50% discount for outstanding athletes and outstanding cultural and social contributors. The board of directors selects the beneficiaries yearly and decides on terms and duration of those scholarships.

The second sibling receives a 10% discount and the third sibling receives a 25% discount on all university fees for the entire duration of their studies. This scholarship is valid for the minimum required study duration.
